While I have a Garmin Nuvi 660, I don't think the MH market is large enough for someone to come out with a niche product. The closest you will find is a trucker unit. Look at some of the large truck stops for info on these.

RE: Water heater bypass? (Winnebago Access 31c)
Open 1 valve and look under the RV to see if water is draining (have a faucet open on hot and another on cold so the pipes can vent). If so, it is a drain valve. If no water is draining, it is the bypass valve. Obviously, have water in the pipes when trying this. Repeat 2 more times.

It sounds like the disconnect relay is elsewhere. You may have to trace the wire back to find it.

I don't have a suggestion about fixing the AC, but you need to consider adding a Progressive Industries EMS to protect your system from power surges in the future. It costs much less than replacing AC/Inverter/Converter/TV, etc.

Finally got to check the contacts in the door frame with an analog meter. There is no power to those contacts. I am going to have to try to find where the wires from those contacts terminate and where they need to be hooked up to work.
Check here for the wiring diagrams for your RV. Winnebago
Thanks. I have those printed out and in a loose leaf folder already and have gone cross-eyed trying to find what I need on there.

Chassis lube
I know this must have been discussed before, but the search is not finding the answer. I have a 2006 Ford E450 SuperDuty chassis that I need to lube. I have found only 4 zerks, all on the steering linkage. How many points do I need to lube and where are they? I am sure that there must be more than 4!

I don't have fobs, but can buy some from a third party vender. But unless they work the coach door, they aren't worth it to me.
The cab doors work on the rocker switches, but the coach door does not. I have checked the connections inside the door. They are fine. I used a digital volt meter to check for voltage on the hinge side contacts while my wife pressed the switch multiple times. I saw no response. Would an analog volt meter twitch the needle better? I have one of those too.

Electric lock on house door on Winnebago
Unless someone can point me at the correct answer, I will call Winnebago when I get home next week.
An earlier thread had Winnebago owners who had the chassis electric locks also lock the house door. Mine doesn't.
Keyless Remote Add-On for E450
I looked today and the electric lock solenoid is installed in my house door and is wired, but does not function.
How can I get the house door to lock/unlock when the cab door electric lock controls are activated? Wire needs to be hooked up? Fuse installed?
I have a 2007 Winnebago Outlook WF331C on a Ford E450 Superduty chassis.

The refer will operate whether the inverter is switched to either the on or off position, but the refer will not operate as soon as I unplug the 120v power cord from the inverter.
I wonder if his inverter is powering that AC outlet and his refer just plugs into it.
A second point, he said as long as it was plugged in, it ran on shore power even with the inverter turned off.
I think the inverter DOES have shore power pass-through and both of them power that outlet, then the refer just plugs into it.

Apparently your refer does NOT run from shore power. It only runs from the battery bank, then the shore power recharges the batteries. Most RV inverters are wired for pass-through 120v so if shore power is available, it just uses it. Apparently your inverter is either not wired to do that, or is incapable of doing it. If you will post make/model/serial number of the inverter, I am sure some of the inverter gurus will chime in about if it can be made to pass 120v power through.
That is why the EMS shows no increase in power usage. Until the batteries get depleted enough to draw substantial current from the converter/charger the EMS is not getting hit for the power.
Your 50 amp rig has 2 separate hot lines coming in, L1 and L2. You really can't use that information to manage power usage except to balance plug use on the two lines, which would account for very little current. When you are plugged into a 30 amp service, both lines (L1 and L2) are hooked to the same hot wire on the pedestal, limiting you to 30 amps of power for everything.

AAA for RV's is pitiful. Both Good Sams and Coach Net are decent. Good Sams seems to have a higher percentage of people who have problems with their service than Coach Net does.

Ahhhh, Ok...
So all trailer can run on any amp service (with correct adapter). The biggest difference is the amount of power that you can safely draw at any moment. Am I getting this? :)
Do I think about it like this:
20 amp: pretty much just for lights- refrigerator should be on gas
30 amp: can run most "normal" stuff - refrigerator, microwave, etc.
50 amp: for larger draw- 2 ac units, etc...
You got it. A 20 amp circuit will run 1 major appliance, heater OR microwave OR AC OR water heater on electric OR refrigerator on electric. A 30 amp circuit will run 2 major appliances, any 2 of the above. A 50 amp circuit will run 3 or 4 major appliances as long as they are balanced on both sides of the circuit.
All of this while still running some lights, water pump and other small stuff.

It is the cover for a light that illuminates the step when it is out so you can see it at night. I don't know if it goes off when the door is closed. I don't know how to remove it as I have not yet needed to. Have you tried a bigger hammer? :B

Non-RV applications don't necessarily have the neutral as big as the hots. You have to check. He is starting with a non-RV circuit.

You need 2 cables to get all of the channels to 2 TV's or to a TV and a DVR. The LNB should have (at least) 2 COAX connectors on it. Use both to run cables to the receiver and the DVR. If the DVR doesn't have its own Directv receiver, you must supply a receiver for it. If you want more than 2 TV's/DVR's, get a multi-switch to hook the 2 cables to, then you can hook up as many TV's/DVR's/etc as you want.
